About me
Welcome, and thank you for being here.
My name is Lara Tarabay, and I am honored to share my journey with you. I am an Independent Facilitator based in San Diego, California, dedicated to guiding individuals and families with clarity, compassion, and professionalism.
I bring a diverse background shaped by both education and business. I graduated in Venezuela as a psychopedagogist, specializing in special education and emotional development. After several years of building my career in education, life led me to migrate to the United States in search of new opportunities.
Here, I embarked on a new path in the financial industry, where I gained valuable experience in operations, lending, and management. These skills strengthened my ability to navigate complex systems, problem‑solve, and support people with precision and care.
Yet, my true calling has always been in vocational work that uplifts and empowers others. That journey brought me back to my roots — and today, as an Independent Facilitator, I am eager to help you achieve your goals, realize your dreams, and embrace the transformation that comes with support and guidance.

Mi nombre es Lara Tarabay, y es un honor compartir mi trayectoria contigo. Soy Facilitadora Independiente en San Diego, California, dedicada a guiar a individuos y familias con claridad, compasión y profesionalismo.
Cuento con una formación diversa que combina la educación y el mundo empresarial. Me gradué en Venezuela como psicopedagoga, con especialización en educación especial y desarrollo emocional. Después de varios años construyendo mi carrera en el ámbito educativo, la vida me llevó a migrar a los Estados Unidos en busca de nuevas oportunidades.
Aquí emprendí un camino en la industria financiera, donde adquirí valiosa experiencia en operaciones, préstamos y gestión. Estas habilidades fortalecieron mi capacidad para navegar sistemas complejos, resolver problemas y apoyar a las personas con precisión y cuidado.
Sin embargo, mi verdadera vocación siempre ha sido el trabajo que eleva y empodera a los demás. Ese llamado me llevó de nuevo a mis raíces — y hoy, como Facilitadora Independiente, estoy lista para ayudarte a alcanzar tus metas, realizar tus sueños y abrazar la transformación que surge con el apoyo y la orientación adecuada.

Our Mission
At Crisálida Independent Facilitator Services, our mission is to empower individuals to design a life that reflects their strengths, dreams, and authentic voice. Just like a chrysalis protects and nurtures transformation, Crisálida provides the guidance, structure, and support that allow individuals to grow confidently into the life they choose.
We believe every person deserves the opportunity to lead their planning process, make informed decisions, and shape their future with dignity and clarity. Our role is to walk beside each individual—never in front of them—ensuring their choices remain at the center of every conversation, every plan, and every meeting.
Our team of experienced consultants has a diverse background in education, business, and other fields. We bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our work, and we are committed to providing the highest level of service to our clients.
How We Support the Person‑Centered Plan (PCP)
The Person‑Centered Plan is the heart of Self‑Determination. It is a creative, individualized roadmap that captures who the person is, what matters most to them, and the life they want to build.
At Crisálida, we support this process by:
• Creating a safe, welcoming space for individuals to explore their goals
• Listening deeply to their preferences, strengths, and dreams
• Helping them articulate their vision in a clear, meaningful way
• Developing a written PCP that reflects their voice and their values
• Ensuring the plan is practical, actionable, and aligned with Self‑Determination principles
The PCP is not just a document — it is a celebration of the person’s identity and a blueprint for their future.
How the PCP Connects to the IPP
The Individual Program Plan (IPP) is the Regional Center’s official document, and it must be based on the individual’s decisions and the goals outlined in the PCP.
Crisálida supports this connection by:
• Presenting the PCP at the IPP meeting
• Helping the individual communicate their goals clearly
• Ensuring their choices guide the discussion
• Collaborating with the Service Coordinator and planning team
• Advocating for services and supports that align with the person’s vision
While the Service Coordinator writes the IPP, the individual leads the content — and we ensure their voice remains central throughout the process.
